Prentiss Taylor, the amazing artist who was part of the Harlem Renaissance and was very close with such luminaries of the early 20th century like Gertrude Stein, Langston Hughes along with divisive artist Carl Van Vechten.

Prentiss Taylor was born in Washington DC but gravitated to New York City and aligned and joined the Harlem Renaissance, learning his artistic craft of lithography printing from George C Miller in New York.
Prentiss Taylor’s art is collected in his home town of Washington DC in the prestigious Georgetown University.
This and other etching and Lithographs will be available through Sturgis Antiques from one collection and will be noted from the same collection.
