[edit]The Akhtar family is a prominent film family in the Hindi film Industry. It consists of renowned poets, authors, scriptwriters, directors, actors, and producers. One of the most famous among them is Urdu poet, author and philosopher Javed Akhtar, whose great-grandfather Fazl-e-Haq Khairabadi is a notable name in the Indian Rebellion of 1857.
