On Friday February 24th, Claire Kahl passed away at the age of She was born in New York City and attended the Hewitt School. When World War II began, Claire worked overseas as a volunteer with the American Red Cross. While working in Palermo, Italy, she met her future husband, an American serviceman. After the war ended, they were married at St. Patrick's Church in New York City. They settled in Connecticut where they raised their three children. Claire relocated to Silver Spring, MD in
