Jodha Akbar, a television show produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor, which premiered on 18 June on Zee TV, was criticized by a few communities for misrepresentation of facts. A Rajasthan-based organisation, Shri Rajput Karni Sena (SRKS), demanded to stop the show from being aired as they considered the show misleading and manipulative as per Rajput history. Later, another protest was carried out by the Rajput Kshatriya Akhil Bharatiya Chatariya Sabha against the television serial as they thought that false facts were being presented by Ekta in her serial, which was against the religious sentiments of Rajput community.
